Mr H. Kapacee, Head Teacher
Hatim began his headship of Heald Place in January 2010, having previously worked at schools in Openshaw, Clayton, Burnage, Collyhurst, Crumpsall, Blackely and Cheetham Hill. The transformation of the school in his plus ten years has been an incredible journey. ‘Reaching for the stars’ and high expectations for everyone at the school is Hatim’s continual aspiration.

Mrs A. Zaidi, Deputy Head Teacher (Lower KS2 Lead)
Anne Joined Heald Place as Deputy Headteacher in 2010. She became an Advanced Skills Teacher in 2004 and through weekly outreach, developed Manchester teachers and supported leaders with school improvement. Anne remains passionate about improving teaching and building leadership capacity.

Mr T. Denton, SENDCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead
Tom has taught at Heald Place Primary since 2009 and joined the Senior Leadership team in 2020. Tom has taught in both KS1 and KS2 and has led core areas of the curriculum. Along with managing Teaching Assistants and heading Lower School, he has recently taken over the role of Inclusion Lead having gained the National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination.

Mrs J. Crossley, Assistant Headteacher (Early Year Foundation Stage)
Julia joined the senior leadership team in 2013, having previously worked at schools in Sale and Openshaw, as well as an international school in Italy. She is passionate that children learn best through play and first-hand experiences. She supports the Foundation Stage team in providing our children with a strong start to their educational career at Heald Place.

Mr A. Cunliffe, Assistant Headteacher (KS1 Phase Lead)
Andrew joined Heald Place in 2016 and quickly became an integral part of the school community. He has served as a Year Group Lead for both Year 1 and Year 6, demonstrating strong leadership and a commitment to supporting the development of pupils at different stages of their learning journey. Passionate about working with all children, Andrew is dedicated to ensuring that every student, regardless of their background or ability, receives the support they need to thrive.

Mr M. Tate, Assistant Headteacher (Upper KS2 Lead)
Mike started at Heald Place in February 2024, joining the senior leadership team as the leader of the upper phase. Mike has a thorough understanding of the key stage two curriculum, having taught in year 3, 4 , 5 and 6. He is passionate about all children engaging in their learning, not fearing failure and making great progress, whilst having fun at the same time!

Miss A. Jackson, Teaching and Learning Support Lead
Alison has been working at Heald Place since 2014. Previously, she worked for a private nursery where she found she had a passion for teaching children. She is dedicated to the high-quality delivery of reading and phonics.

Miss N. Evans, School Business Manager
Nicola has 18 years of experience in educational finance. She joined the Senior Leadership Team at Heald Place in 2018 having previously worked at One Education as a School Budget Officer. Nicola is passionate about providing a quality, safe and enriching learning environment to meet the needs and aspirations of the pupils and all stakeholders, including the governors.
